Father Daughter Bake off

The girl scouts had a Father/Daughter bake off in April. Pook was totally excited for this event. They skimmed through all of our cook books and found "the" perfect idea. For a couple days there was clacking and clinking in the kitchen. The dining room and kitchen were taken over for those two days...what a total mess...but in the end it was worth the mess! They brought their cake into girl scout meeting and 'oohs' and 'aah's' were murmured all around them. They had to place beans in cups next to the best looking bake item. Every bean was placed in Dad and Pooks cup. Then they got best overall appearance vote. Then a few for best tasting. Pook came home to mom shouting..."MOM, MOM, GUESS WHAT?" With all the excitement...I KNEW! They won prizes galore! They were also in the Islandwide newspaper. I'm so proud of dad and Pook!
